Should a use a Espresso Tamper with a Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine?
My machine did not come with a tamper, nor does the manual allude to using one at all. Does anyone have experience with this model or have any advice. I have yet to use it. Thanks!!!
I've been using a tamper with mine and I usually get good espresso so I don't think it hurts... before I bought one I would smooth down the grounds with the back of the scooper and that didn't come out bad either. But based on how small the "Terry's Tamper" I use is, I'm pretty sure a 53 mm would be the right size. Lots of other people online seem to think this too, and if we're all tamping the espresso, it's probably not the wrong thing to do!
